My goal was to design a deck that illustrates the meanings of the Cards of Truth -as taught by Ernst Wilhelm- as clearly and aesthetically as possible. There are no letters or numbers included, so that any person, regardless of language, can connect to the symbology in a very direct manner.
The pip cards are viewed as symmetrical geometrical figures: 3s as a triangle, 4s a square, 6s a hexagon, etc.
Aces consist of one large suit symbol, invoking the burst of power necessary to kick off the energy of each suit.
10s are quarter circles, showering the card with the rewards of that suit(all four 10s can be joined together to create a circle).
Court Cards are each carefully designed to reflect the principles they represent. You will notice, for instance, all Heart Face cards have their eyes closed, as Hearts are the contemplative, loving and devotional suit. The Spade cards are focused on their inner and outer battles, while the Clubs pay high regards to ideas and inspiration. The Diamond suit closes off with showing the concrete value and worth of things.
If you are excited about this 52 playing-card deck, you are in luck :)
